Kreuzberg Arthouse Session

An unpretentious gathering for those who prefer subtitles to special effects. We meet at Babylon Kreuzberg to catch whatever obscure indie feature is gracing the screen, followed by a post-film analysis that isn't too academic. It's mostly an excuse to inhabit a velvet seat on a Thursday night and talk about cinematography over a quick drink afterward. We're here for the storytelling and the specific grain of 35mm, even if the group's arrival time is more of a suggestion than a rule and the screening schedule dictates our actual rhythm.

Event Plan

  • 7:00 PM
    Lobby Gathering & Ticket Sorting
Meet near the entrance to coordinate seating and share quick takes on the director's filmography before the trailers start.
  • 7:20 PM
    The Feature Screening
Find our block of seats and settle in for the main event. Minimal talking encouraged, save the critique for later.
  • 8:55 PM
    Foyer Debrief
A relaxed reassembling in the lobby to dissect the ending and discuss which shots were actually necessary.
  • 9:20 PM
    Späti or Bar Drift
A short walk to a nearby spot for anyone wanting one last drink to argue about the score before the S-Bahn calls it a night.
