What we collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account: your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
We collect the event preferences you set — city, interest area, day of week, and time band — in order to match you into events.
How we use it
Your preferences are used solely to generate and assign you to plausible local events. Your email is used to send you calendar invites and, if you request it, password reset links. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Third-party services
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Neon — serverless PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure.
- Unsplash — event cover images (your data is not shared with Unsplash).
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in via your Google account.
- Google Analytics — privacy-conscious traffic analytics for launch measurement.
Cookies, sessions, and analytics
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We may also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, page views, and launch performance. Analytics data is used to improve NoPlans, not to sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Deleting your account removes your profile and preferences immediately. Event records may be retained in anonymised form for a short period.
